Field Maintenance Technician-East London (Canning Town)

Permanent Role - £22000 - £24500, Pension Scheme, 25 Days Holiday

40 hours per week (Mon – Fri) 08.00am to 5.00pm

Working for a large engineering company you will be tasked with providing maintenance support on thisLondon Cycle Hire contract, which is due to begin in August.


Working in the field, you will use public transport to travel to jobs and have a rucksack containing your tools and equipment. The job involves replacing consumable items on London Cycle Hire equipment, such as receipt print rolls; performing minor repairs, such as resets and pushing bikes into terminals. 


A logical approach to fault finding is needed as you will provide support for PPM & reactive faults if required. You will also be required to ensure that asset and consumable maintenance is reported to management and that all activities are performed safely and to a high standard.


Some minor civil works & site clearance may be required. You may also have to report to Canning Town every day to pick up print rolls for receipts so will need to be a reasonable commute to the office.


Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician withexperience of maintenance of equipment in a roadside environment or similar.  Ideally, you should have a mechanical background, along with an electrical engineering, telecommunications or mechanical qualifications.


Initial training will be provided, and you should be physically fit, active and energetic due to the travel requirements on foot for this role.
