THE LEVERHULME CENTRE FOR FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS DESIGN

 

DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

 

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN GRADE 6

 

£27,629 - £32,004 pa

 

We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable individual to join our world leading multidisciplinary team in the Leverhulme Centre for Functional Materials Design. You will provide technical support to the research activities within the Centre, interacting with other team members and taking responsibility for organising your work to meet targets and deadlines. The role will involve not only research activity but also an element of student supervision and training. The core objective of the role is to build new capability in automation and robotics to support new materials discovery. You should be qualified to BTEC Higher Level (or equivalent) with relevant technical experience in one or more of the following areas: materials, chemistry, robotics, automation, hardware development, programming. You should have excellent organisational skills and good interpersonal skills enabling you to communicate with and motivate other team members ensuring good co-operation between team members. The post is available until 30 September 2021.
