The business is a hi-tech start-up that powers journey planning for the likes of Google and other leading providers. As part of the growth of the business a position has come up for an Inside Sales Executive based in Cambridge. The role is to develop an established but very exciting product to market in the journey planning sector and would suit someone who is passionate about data and how companies can use it within the journey planning space.

The role would suit someone who has experience selling into the UK, European and North American markets and who has sold in to Google, Apple, SatNav providers or mobility service providers for use in the market. You will be curios, talented and love working with hi-tech companies at enterprise level as well as being a superb sales person able to work well in opening up new sales opportunities, conducting research, completing fact-finding calls, identifying decision-makers and running online demonstrations. You will work closely with the Business Development Managers to feed in to their field sales activity and be a key member to develop the sales pipeline for the business

The Role for Inside Sales Executive

  • Prospect and develop new customer accounts
  • Develop an extensive pipeline of repeatable business
  • Achieve defined sales targets
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars and workshops
  • Deliver webinars and product demos
  • Develop strong client relationships at all levels
  • Identify key decision makers and influencers
  • Leverage social media to prospect and build professional network
  • Be fully accountable for defined customer groups
  • Utilise Salesforce to manage opportunities and drive the buying process
  • Collaborate closely with other team members from product management, sales and marketing
  • Negotiate and build partnerships with key decision makers in client companies and internally

Skills Required for Inside Sales Executive

  • Degree BA or BSc
  • B2B proven track record of delivering sales
  • 2 years+ experience selling data-driven solutions or enterprise software
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the sales cycle; prospect, propose, close over the phone and demos
  • Is good at understanding the funnel, how to build a sustainable pipeline and daily activity required in terms of call volume, demos to convert a percentage
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills; listen, probe, qualification
  • Self-sufficiency; generates own opportunities, qualifies and creates inside sales opportunities to refer to the BDM team
  • Experience working closely with product and technical teams in an agile environment is highly desirable
  • Consultative approach, demonstrates solution sales
  • Able to communicate technical concepts simply verbally and over email
  • Driven, highly motivated and can-do attitude
  • Gravitas and presence, demonstrates credibility and confidence
  • Structured approach; manages and prioritizes activities well
  • Customer-driven; curious about the customer, genuinely wants to ease pain points
