Job description

Production TechnicianSemiconductor – Bristol IM281


Salary / benefits: negotiable dependent upon experience, up to £26,500.


Job Term: Permanent / Full Time


Job Outline:


A leading developer of semiconductor machine toolsis looking for a number of Production Technicians to join their rapidly growing team in Bristol.


You will be working in a precision engineering environment, working from mechanical drawings and plans to build machine tools for the semi-conductor industry.


You will be involved in mechanical assembly of products to pre-defined build schedules.


More experience candidates can take responsibility for assembly of complex products to meet quality, cost and time targets.


You will provide support to fault find and implement corrective actions where necessary.


The responsibilities within assembly, build and fault finding are varied and depend upon the level of experience and skills the successful candidates bring with them.




Successful candidates will ideally be time served Mechanical Apprentices, or hold at least an ONC/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or Similar. 




You will have experience of working to high quality standards, detail fitting to a precision level.


You will have knowledge of pipe work / vacuum and pneumatics, and previous experience in either the semiconductor, aerospace or automotive industries could be relevant.
