Laboratory Technician

Job description

Laboratory technician

 

Chemex Environmental International Limited are looking to recruit an entry level laboratory technician to work on a range of general laboratory activities in their busy laboratory in Cottenham, near Cambridge.  This will include maintaining test organism cultures, breeding fish, preparing reagents, cleaning glassware and assisting the scientists on routine laboratory tests.

 No specific qualifications beyond GCSE are necessarily required although a good interest in environmental science or higher qualifications will be looked at favourably.  Full training for this permanent position will be provided.  The ability to work responsibly as part of a team and with a flexible approach will be the primary prerequisite.

 This is a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position with some weekend work on a rota basis (overtime paid).   Salary will be dependent on experience.
