Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Production Unit

Job description

We require an enthusiastic suitably qualified Pharmacy Technician to join the technical team within Preparative Services GG&C. Based at the Pharmacy Production Unit, Old Western Infirmary site. Part of the rotation will include the West of Scotland Cancer Centre (WoSCC).Your key duties will include, assisting with the day to day organisation of workload, the preparation of a range of Specials and extemporaneous sterile and non-sterile products and clinical trial material, and to assist with training of other support staff. Duties at the WoSCC will include the dispensing of prescriptions, dosing banding chemotherapy, clinical trials and the preparation of IV chemotherapy. A pharmacy technician qualification and previous pharmacy experience is required, as well good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. You must be registered with the GPhC. This is a full time post 37.5hrs and will be worked 5/7 days and includes weekend working and participation in public holidays.
