E-Commerce Product Data Administrator

Job description


HULL (£ negotiable)


This candidate will report to the Head of Digital and E-commerce and will be based at our Central support office in Hull, Stoneferry Road. 

This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

Duties of therole:

  • Managing and inputting product data into Excel spreadsheets
  • Utilising our systems (Kerridge) to lookup product data
  • Writing product descriptions and key features to be placed onto the company website
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with both product managers and external suppliers with regards to product descriptions and marketing information
  • Managing all e-commerce product data online. Removing, adding and editing product data
  • Working closely with the product team making sure all product SKU’s are up to date with the relevant product information, description, images etc.

Requirements of the role

  • Product data management/ e-commerce product data experience is essential - having previous experience of managing data and products on the web would be a distinct advantage
  • Data administration skills are essential
  • Good Excel skills are essential - experience of working with data in Excel such as sorting and filtering data is required
  • Any previous experience with online data management would be welcomed
  • Good writing skills are necessary for this role – previous experience with writing product descriptions, key features etc would be an advantage
  • Photoshop skills/image editing skills would be desirable, but not essential

This role requires someone who is driven to get things done, who has a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication and organisational skills
