Design and Technology Technician

Job description

We invite applications for the post of Design and Technology Technician with experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and the ability to learn other school based software.

You will be a part of the schools Design and Technology department. The ideal candidate would need to be skilled in woodwork, metal work and plastics to be able to fulfil the needs of the department.

Possession of appropriate certificates for centre lathe, wood lathe, circular saw, pillar drill, band saw, tool grinder, mortiser and any other relevant qualifications appropriate to this role.

You will also need to be able to prepare materials/resources, assist during practical lessons, monitor equipment and stock usage, take in deliveries, provide technical assistance in using particular machinery, assist in the computer room etc.

Villiers High School is a mixed comprehensive school which originally opened in 1907. It has a long tradition of excellence within the local community which is very supportive of the school and pupils are highly motivated.
