Pharmacy Technician (XR04)

Job description

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated Aseptic Services team, working in one of the largest Aseptic unit’s in the country.
The post is for a full time Band 4 Pharmacy Technician Higher Level who has, or wishes to gain experience of working in an Aseptic environment. This role offers an excellent career development opportunity for any Pharmacy Technician with aseptic experience but also other Pharmacy Technicians wishing to broaden their knowledge and skills.
You must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician and hold a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
Our Aseptic Services team is based across two sites St James University Hospital and the Leeds General Infirmary and provides the Trust with aseptic dispensing of CIVA, Parenteral Nutrition, Phase 1 Clinical Trial work and Chemotherapy products under Section 10 exemption. Both units provide a rapid response service and offer the chance of working in a busy, diverse and developing department.
There is a weekend, on call, late night and bank holiday commitment in the Aseptic Services at Leeds General Infirmary and St. James’s University Hospitals on a rotational basis.
You must be motivated, enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills and be committed to the highest standard of service delivery.
