Senior Science Technician

Job description

Grade N, points 21 24, pro rata salary £16,075 £17,531 (factor 44). 8:15am 3:45pm, Monday Friday (35 hours per week). Term time only, plus 3 INSET days. Start date asap. Permanent contract.

We are seeking a Senior Science Technician to join an enthusiastic and dynamic Science team. Science has a high profile in this school and is a very popular choice at Key Stage 4 and 5 and for students to choose for university courses. Scientific or technical background would be advantageous, although is not essential. You will provide specialist technical and administrative support, practical assistance and advice to teaching staff and students, including more advanced work with post16 examination courses, and ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment. You will also take responsibility as required for the supervision, training, development and organisation of other Technicians. You should have a real passion for education and a desire to help young people fulfil their potential in Science.
