Are you a hospital based pharmacy technician who would like to move hospitals, a qualifying pharmacy technician or a community based pharmacy technician looking to move into hospital pharmacy? If yes then why not apply to join our pharmacy team We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable pharmacy technician with good communication and interpersonal skills. Your main duties will be to provide, at ward level a medicines management service undertaking patient drug histories and assessment of Patients’ Own Drugs, and working in the dispensary undertaking a range of dispensing activities.
Applicants should hold a Level 3 BTEC NVQ Pharmacy Services certificate or equivalent and be registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician. Experience of working as a Medicines Management pharmacy technician at ward level and working within a hospital pharmacy department is desirable but not essential. We will provide you with an induction period and fully supported training enabling you to gain the required knowledge and experience to undertake all aspects of this job opportunity including becoming an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician.
Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act Exceptions Order 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.
Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services Recruitment, Administration &Terms and Conditions

If you do not fulfil the essential qualification/skills listed on the job description and specification, you could be offered a Training Contract for 12-24 months, this is dependent on the vacancy and subject to terms and conditions.
The pay banding will be set at the band below the advertised post. For internal or current NHS employees you will remain on your current banding, this only applies for those currently on Bands 1-4.
On successful completion of your training and subject to sign off by your manager / mentor you will automatically transition to the substantive banding which the vacancy was originally advertised at.
