Job description

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

The Medicines Management Directorate has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and committed registered pharmacy technicians to join our pharmacy team based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.



The Main Duties and grade will Be dependant on experience but could encompass Inpatient, Outpatient And Discharge Dispensing, ward services And a possible Rotation Through Aseptics. There may be the Opportunity To Attain The Accredited Checking Technician Qualification if you have not already gained this And To Develop Your Skills In Medicines Management at ward level.



You Must Possess Excellent Communication And Organisational Skills In Order To Provide an Efficient And Safe Pharmacy Service For Patients In These Busy Environments.



We Are Committed To The Development Of The Technician Role And Can Offer Excellent In House Training, Where You Will Be Supported And Encouraged To Further Develop Your Skills In New And Diverse Roles.



Applicants Must Have a BTEC And NVQ Level 3 In Pharmaceutical Sciences Or Equivalent Qualification. Applicants must also be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. We would welcome applications from Community Technicians who are keen to experience hospital pharmacy.

Ability to speak welsh is desirable.
