You will have a range or responsibilities as a junior engineer with the technical team. You will build your foundation knowledge to become an active member of the delivery team. As your technical knowledge grows you will be involved in activities such as:
- Contributing to planning and delivery of projects and taking ownership of specific non-project activities;
- Working as part of a multi-disciplined team contributing to whole project delivery;
- Contributing to team success through support of strategies and processes championed by Team Leader, Technical Specialists and other departmental leaders;
- Acting as a point of contact and subsequent specialist for certain project and customer enquiries;
- Writing proposals;
- Preparing technical documentation and reports;
- Performing various assessments;
- Liaising with customers and attending customer premises as required;

Software and ControlsFunction Group
The Software and Controls team provide the software platform to implement the systems functionality. Working closely with the Systems Engineers, the Software and Controls Team ensure that software solutions meet the system level requirements and are validated appropriately.
Using a range of software environments and tools the Software Engineers work as part of cross functional project teams to provide software design services and solutions across a range of sectors that include automotive, military and aerospace. Working to a range of legislative and industry standards the Software and Controls team are critical to the development of the vehicle technologies of the future.
Functional Safety Function Group
The Systems and Safety team are responsible for the deployment of functional safety, systems engineering and cyber security expertise and tools across the business to deliver internal and external projects. These projects can involve a combination of engineering, consultancy, analysis, training, audit and assessment either directly to external customers or for internal product developments.
Our portfolio covers all domains of land-based transportation including automotive, commercial, off-highway and defence applications. Powertrain – Engine Test
The Engine Test team are responsible for the delivery of engine development projects including performance and emissions, mechanical and durability development requirements. Our engine test facilities are tailored to specific customer project requirements and can cover gasoline, diesel and hydrogen testing.
Powertrain – Emissions
The Vehicle Emissions team are responsible for the delivery of chassis dynamometer based and road based testing activities for our customers. We support development and certification testing of customer vehicles, against global exhaust emissions standards in the laboratory and on the road for Real Driving Emission (RDE) standards. Our existing ambient chassis dynamometer facility and our new climatic chassis dynamometer facility provide a full suite of capabilities to meet customer and legislative demands, together with a growing capacity of Portable Emission Measurement Systems for RDE development and certification test activities.

The Crash team are responsible for crash testing activitiesto a range of global standards including test scheduling, planning & vehicle preparation, execution and validation of test data and results, customer liaison, data delivery, and reporting.
Components and Environmental
The Components and Environmentalteamare responsible for endurance, fatigue and dynamic testing procedures on a wide variety of rigs in many environments. Projects can span from component durability to whole vehicle testing. Conditions of the tests can vary, with the introduction of climatic chambers and EM shakers.
