Job description

Pharmacy Medicines Management Technician.

Band 4 to 5 depending on experience and qualification, Part time 22.5hrs

Based at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust, off site working may be required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, qualified pharmacy technician to join our expanding Medicines Management Service.
You will need to hold a NVQ level 3 and a BTEC National Diploma in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and be registered as a pharmacy technician with General Pharmaceutical Council.
The post is advertised as a band 4 with progression to develop skills to a band 5
You will be working closely alongside clinical pharmacists to ensure the delivery of a high quality clinical pharmacy service. The service includes dispensing for discharge, assessing PODs, medicines reconciliation; ward visits, patient counselling and training other healthcare professionals.
Ashford &St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust Pharmacy Department is friendly, forward thinking and progressive with a well-established and respected Medicines Management Technician Service. Opportunities for further development are encouraged and unless already in possession you will be required to undertake recognized qualification in medicines management and final accuracy checking.
Participation in the Ashford &St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust Pharmacy Department late nights, weekends and Bank Holiday rota’s are required.
