Job description

Process / Mechanical Technician – Microelectronics – Somerset – RC7

Salary / benefits: £22 – 25K pa.

Job Term: Permanent / Full Time

Job Outline:

A leading manufacturer of components for the microelectronic industries is seeking a Mechanical / Process Technician to join their team.

Based at their facility in Somerset, the successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of Thin Film Microcircuits.

Using vacuum deposition equipment, the successful candidate will be involved in the production, process improvement and machine maintenance. Previous experience within a similar position is therefore necessary.

This role is hands-on, therefore experience of working within a high precision manufacturing environment is essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience doing intricate work, within a clean environment & using advanced manufacturing equipment.

Applicants need to be quick thinkers with the ability to multi task whilst handling delicate material, as the successful applicant will have to be able to run several processes at once.


Qualifications: 

The successful individual will be educated to HND level in mechanical engineering, or completed an apprenticeship.

Experience:

Applicants will have experience of working with microelectronics and vacuum deposition equipment.

The successful candidate will have worked within a clean room environment, possibly working within a busy lab.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK.
