An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world's most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The sleek form you see with our vehicles is only possible with expertise and knowledge of the Tooling and Pressed Parts Group (T&PPG) who are responsible for all sheet metal tooling programs, facilities and technologies within Jaguar Land Rover. This includes managing the development, manufacture and successful launch of tooling and equipment into nominated press facilities, as well as providing the foundation for Jaguar Land Rover's drive towards best in class Body in White (BIW) quality and cost performance.
As the Wallace Engineer you'll report to the Technology & Innovation Group Leader and deliver press line simulation support, including the creation of off line programmes (OLP) and new simulation methods and models for T&PPG press lines operations. You'll use computer aided simulation techniques to standardise our processes and deliver new core technologies; extending our simulation capabilities and providing automation support to die launch and relocation activities within the press shop. Doing this will require the application of Jaguar Land Rover standards and the creation and optimisation of automation off line programmes.
You'll be based either within our engineering team at Gaydon, or on site in our press shops at Halewood or in the West Midlands.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You'll bring expertise in Press Line (or a similar manufacturing environment) operations including extensive technical knowledge of both press and automation control systems, and general operation. Also important is experience of process simulation and optimisation using virtual engineering tools, including hardware in the loop simulations applied to press line and robotic control (for example CATIA, DELMIA, Process Simulate, RobotStudio or equivalent). Finally you'll need experience of creating off line programmes and coordinating their delivery and launch into the press shops
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you will find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team. Our employees have access to a privilege car purchase scheme, membership of a competitive pension plan, performance related bonus scheme and 26 days holiday entitlement. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
