Enforcement Officer

Job description

we are currently recruiting for an Enforcement Officer to be based in Melton.

Enforcement Officers are responsible for removing untaxed vehicles on behalf of the DVLA using specialist equipment.

Key elements of the role;

Attends a daily briefing and collects all de-clamp information and reports relevant to the day’s work
Ensures all vehicles and enforcement equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose, reports all faults to the Pound Manager
Completes daily reports regarding activities, clamp loads and equipment issues
Operates an ANPR vehicle to locate untaxed vehicles on public highways, and takes action as per operating procedures
Clamps or seeks permission to remove and impound the vehicle, completes the CLE2/6 ticket via a tablet P.C., compiles a vehicle condition report and photographs the vehicle and location as further evidence
When advised by the Cashiers, will de-clamp vehicles, and take further photographic evidence.
Working with other agencies, when required including, Police, DVLA and VOSA.
Deals with enquiries from the public regarding enforcement action and ensures the relevant information packs are available
Must be flexible in their attitude to working hours, locations and must be prepared to take on other roles, temporarily, as required by the operation
Be presentable and show high levels of personal integrity and honesty

The ideal candidate;

Must have a full UK Driving licence
Computer literate
Ability to communicate with the public, often in difficult and demanding circumstances.
Ability to compile simple reports
Have previous customer service experience

You will be required to work 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays) Shifts vary between the hours of 03:00 and 22:00. Flexibility for the role is essential.
