BAS Process Technician

Job description

Our client a leading pharmaceutical company is looking for a Pharmaceutical Process Associate to join their team. Knowledge of downstream activities/manufacturing, GMP, automated manufacturing techniques, and the pharma industry are necessary.

The Role
Optimisation of downstream processes e.g. Tangential flow filtration process development
Identify and utilise fit-for-purpose robust technologies
Support the implementation of new bioprocess technologies
Work in compliance with HSE, cGMP regulations and Ipsen QA Systems at all times.
Perform experimentation, collate the data and write technical reports
Apply effective process control testing strategies (Quality by Design)
Incorporate science-based approaches to product-process understanding
Downstream Processing Operations including; column preparation - (cleaning, packing & pre-use equilibration), post use decontamination and column disassembly, precipitation, resuspension and dissolution, centrifugation, dialysis, and toxin purification using column chromatography and fraction pooling
Execute revalidation and requalification protocols to maintain the validated state of equipment and processes

Requirements
For this role we need someone with the relevant experience (downstream, GMP, advanced manufacturing techniques...) and have interest in expanding your skill set. Other requirements include -

Manufacturing/technical experience and competency associated with cGMP Aseptic Filling Facilities
Candidate must have practical downstream experience such as column chromatography, dialysis, and tangential flow filtration.
Due to the manufacturing process we require candidates with small batch size protein experience – 100ml-150ml
Knowledge of cGMP documentation completion and procedure writing
Commitment, motivation and ownership of plant and systems
Knowledge of both MHRA and FDA regulations and guidelines
Computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and SAP
