Job overview:
A Rickerby apprentice will receive ongoing support from an experienced team whilst training and earning a competitive wage at the same time. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in engineering, be willing to learn and demonstrate an interest in Professional Groundscare equipment. We offer a 4 year engineering apprenticeship with block release at college with an outcome of an IMI Diploma in Landbased Engineering.(equivalent to SVQ level 3/SCQF level 6).

As well as Ransomes Jacobsen machinery we represent several other premium manufacturers - for example E-Z-go, Iseki, Kawasaki, Artic Cat, Shibaura and Garia

What might a typical day in this job look like?
A typical day would involve working alongside an experienced Service Engineer, working on machinery such as fairway mowers, greens mowers, Iseki mowers, slope mowers and golf buggys. There is also block release to SRUC in Dumfries. Positions available in Castle Douglas and Carlisle.

What will I learn?
· IMI National Diploma in Landbased Engineering
· Enrolment and ongoing career progression with the
Landbased technician Accreditation (LTA) Scheme

What qualifications or qualities are required?
A minimum of 4 National 4/ GCSEs including Maths, Science
and English, grade C or above is preferred
· An interest in engineering or mechanics
· A positive, self-motivated attitude
