Due to growth, this leading chemical company in Manchester now have 3 new positions for Process Technicians.

About the Job:

The Process Technician will be responsible for operating plant machinery and site equipment whilst adhering to well defined process, maintaining plant machinery and contributing to the general housekeeping of the surroundings.

Working in a team environment, other duties will also include an understanding of stock control, Production schedules and packaging labelling, responding to internal and external customer needs and paying high regard to the Safety, Health and Environment practices.

About You:

You will need to be a good team player who can identify and solve problems quickly with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given to attain the relevant level and qualifications. However, preference will be given to candidates who have attained NVQ in Processing Industries Operations and / or C&G Level 2 Diploma in Process Technology – Chemical Processes (0610-20).

The position is based on a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday and an acceptance of shift work is a fundamental requirement for these roles. Following training, the successful applicants will form a 3-set shift team, working 12-hour day / night shifts Monday to Friday. However, the individuals may be required to work on alternative shift patterns to progress their training requirements, or to provide for future business needs.
