Senior Software Engineer Consultant

Job description

Deliver complex new projects for exciting brands.

8+ years of industry experience and desire to lead.

This is a permanent role.

We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join our passionate, lean, agile, fast growing and tech-loving team on a permanent basis. The projects we are working on are innovative with amazing frontend design and UX.

You will be a polyglot with extensive experience across a wide range of technologies and projects, and will relish tackling and solving tough problems.

You’ll be comfortable designing and articulating solutions, working closely with clients to ensure we’re delivering the right thing in the right way. Understanding that delivering quality, working software, which meets the user’s needs, is paramount.

You’ll be passionate about moving Red Badger forward and be a champion of best practices, patterns, process and tech. You will lead by example; getting your hands dirty in the code, inspiring your peers & educating our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to adapt to new languages and frameworks.

  • Leading a of team engineers as part of a cross functional delivery team

  • Working face to face with client stakeholders to give update on the status of delivery and any technical blockers the team might be having.

  • Choosing the right technology for the job

  • Pair programming with other members of the team including designers

  • Code reviews

  • Working with Agile principles and in Kanban

  • Project tours and demos with sales team and potential clients.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience with LEMP/LAMP stack

  • At least 8 years experience as a Software Engineer

  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Business/Management or similar

  • 5+ years experience as a consultant in an engineering capacity
